If you’ve joined the Facebook Group or the Ravelry Group. And. If you’ve picked out yarn. And. If you’ve knit your Garter stitch square (although, I’m not convinced this last step is crucial…..), it’s time to start knitting squares! Since this is an “unstructured” KAL, All of the squares will be chosen by YOU. What does that mean exactly? Let’s say I give the cast-on amounts for a Seed Stitch block. BUT. You don’t really think you LIKE the Seed Stitch Block. Then….don’t knit the Seed Stitch Block! Maybe knit an extra Garter stitch block or an extra Mock Cable block! It’s all up to you! AND. Remember….you don’t even have to knit a Sampler “blanket” if you don’t want. You can knit a sampler “scarf” . OR. Maybe just sampler “washcloths”. It’s all up to YOU!
But. To get us started, I’ve got the Cast-on amounts of the Stitch Patterns I posted in November and December (I’ll be adding a NEW Stitch Pattern and Cast-on amounts every Saturday throughout the winter…..at least I HOPE to add one every Saturday…..). Here’s the links to the Stitch Patterns and the Cast-on amounts….
- Seed Stitch – Cast-on 31 sts.
- Tiny Pebbles – Cast-on 32 sts.
- Mock Cable – Cast-on 38 sts.
- Garter Stripe – Cast-on 32 sts.
- Interrupted Rib – Cast-on 32 sts
- Diagonal 3 – Cast-on 34 sts
That should get you started! There should be plenty of blocks to keep you busy even if you’re binge-watching Christmas movies this weekend! 😉 I can’t wait to see everyone’s progress!
