Current Knitting Project

Pattern: Syysraitoja

Yarn: Lion Brand’s Shawl in a Ball (Healing Teal)

Here’s what I’m currently working on. A basic triangle shawl using a self-striping yarn. I had intended to link the pattern and yarn, but I can’t seem to get the links to work. Seems like that is something I’ll have to work on…..

This project is taking WAY longer than it should. That might be because I’ve restarted it 3 times. Actually I had started a different pattern (a mesh-type lace pattern)

. I was making really good progress too. Then one morning, I noticed this…..

What?!?! How did that happen? AND. I’ve never been good at ripping back lace and getting it back on my needles. So. I had to start over. That’s right. Ripped it back completely and started over with the new basic top-down triangle pattern.

Now, I just need to figure out how big I need to make it. I started out thinking a small shawlette size, but now I’m not sure, maybe it needs to be a little bigger than that. At least for now, I’m going to keep knitting it larger. At some point, I’ll bind off with a picot bind-off….Someday….
